OneStory is targeting the Unreached Peoples of the world who are Oral Preference Learners (an estimated 70% of the world). We are using Chronological Bible Storying to bring the Word of God to these Oral Preference people who either cannot or prefer not to read.
For each Unreached People Group, a worldview sensitive, culturally relevant set of Bible Stories is developed and recorded in the Mother Tongue. This Story Set will become the basis for a Bible for the given people group, and will be used as a basis for evangelism, discipleship, church planting and leadership development.
OneStory is a partnership between Campus Crusade for Christ, Wycliffe, YWAM, the International Missions Board of the Southern Baptists and Transworld Radio.
History:
Dave and Becky have served with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1978 and 1975, respectively.
For 10 years, they directed the US Office for Silk Road, which sent hundreds of Christian professionals to mainland China as educators and business people.
They are currently working with the OneStory Partnership (formerly Epic Partners, International). Dave is the West Coast office director and is helping represent CCC and OneStory in the Finishing the Task Movement; helping churches develop effective strategies to adopt and reach Oral Unreached People Groups.
He is also serving on a taskforce to investigate how to develop tools to reach today's youth, who are moving away from literacy and toward a "Secondary (media driven) Orality".
